Subject: Good Investment opportunity in Mg Recycling?

As a M&A Consultant I have to advise a Client on a Investment Opportunity into a Mg Recycling Plant in Europe. Would you agree that because of the extensive use in the automotive industrie that canīt be wrong.

Obviously magnesium usage in automobiles has increased substantially over the past ~ 15 years, and it appears that this trend will continue into the forseeable future, making recycled Mg quite attractive. However, there are a number of companies that have already invested in European recycling facilities, including Magnesium Elektron and Norsk Hydro, which means that competition for available scrap and price competition among suppliers are potential problems. There is quite a bit of information available about recycling Mg, including costs, technical issues, etc. I would recommend reading as much as possible on this subhject, including the commodity reports available from Roskill, CRU, US Geological Survey, Natural Resources Canada, etc.
