I am working on a project to analyze the differences between both of these processes. To inlcude, by-products, emissions, cost-analysis, etc. Can anyone direct to a helpful website?
Thank you

At the recent IMA World Conference in Warsaw, Poland there was an excellent paper presented by Eli Aghion called, "Comparative Review of Primary Magnesium Production Technologies as Related to Global Climate Change". You might find this paper to be helpful. The proceedings from the conference can be obtained from the IMA.

One of the best recent articles is Cherubini et al, \'LCA of Magnesium Production: Technological overview and worldwide estimation of environmental burdens\', Resources, Conservation, and Recycling 52 (2008) 1093-1100.
I\'m working on something similar, but focusing on the carbothermal route, which we\'re developing. Might present something at next year\'s IMA.
