For all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, the 2018 edition of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is ready to take the stage January 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.
Look for new carry-anywhere computers from Samsung, who’ll introduce a pen-equipped 2-in-1 and three thin-and-light laptops to their Notebook 9 family at the global gathering place for breakthrough technology.
The new 13” Notebook 9 Pen hybrid laptop/tablet has a built-in battery-free S Pen stylus, 8th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, but weighs just 2.2 pounds thanks to its "Metal12" magnesium-aluminum alloy design.
A trio of new LG Gram models, with carbon magnesium alloy bodies (MIL-ST 810G tested for durability) will also be on display. The lightweight and rugged portables will include a 13.3” model (2.1 pounds), a 14”/2.2-pound version, and a slightly heftier 2.4 pound, 15.6” version.
The LGs have Intel's eighth-generation (quad-core) processors, expected to boost performance by one-third over the last generation.
“The new LG gram PCs have been designed for those users who want an all-round, high performance notebook with maximum portability,” said Tim Alessi, head of product marketing at LG Electronics USA. “The 2018 Gram series ticks all the boxes for users who want versatile and lightweight notebooks with faster processing capabilities.”
